Unisong synchronizes audio between a desktop host and listening devices. Most playback activity stays between devices on your local network. This policy explains the limited information used by the iOS app, desktop app, and Unisong online services.

Information used on your local network

The iOS app sends its device name, an app-generated device identifier, playback timing, audio-route diagnostics, battery state and level, network type, subnet reachability, and connection status to the desktop host you choose. The desktop uses this information to identify the device, schedule synchronized playback, diagnose timing, and show device health.

Audio files, artwork, playlists, library paths, and playback commands are transferred between your desktop host and devices over your local network. The iOS app may cache audio and artwork on the device. Unisong does not upload your music library or listening history to its online service.

Home Room wake service

If you pair an iOS device as a Home Room device, the desktop registers the app-generated device identifier, device name, platform, Apple Push Notification service token, paired-host identifier, and an activation credential with Unisong's online service. The online service stores only a one-way hash of that credential. It also stores wake-request timestamps and delivery status so a paired desktop can ask Apple to wake the app for reconnection. These records are used only for Home Room functionality, security, and support; they are not used for advertising or tracking.

Licensing, email, and diagnostics

When a desktop license is purchased, redeemed, activated, or restored, Unisong may process an email address, license and plan information, an installation identifier, app version, platform, release channel, and activation timestamps. Email delivery is handled by Resend. The desktop may also send anonymous first-launch information consisting of app version, platform, architecture, and release channel. Optional support reports are sent only when the user chooses to submit them and are filtered to exclude music titles, file paths, media URLs, network names, IP addresses, and credentials.

Sharing and tracking

Unisong does not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or track people across other companies' apps or websites. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate a requested feature, including Apple for push notifications and Resend for transactional email.

Retention and deletion

Cached media remains on the listening device until removed by the user or cache-retention settings. Home Room endpoint records remain until the device is removed from the desktop host or a deletion request is completed. License records are retained while needed to provide lifetime-license activation and restoration. Short-lived verification data expires automatically; limited operational records may be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and support.

You can clear downloaded songs or forget a Home Room in the iOS app. Remove the device from the desktop Home Room to revoke remote wake registration. To request access, correction, or deletion of online-service data, email [email protected] and include the relevant license email or Home Room device details.

Security and local-network transport

Online-service traffic uses HTTPS. Synchronized media and timing traffic is delivered directly over the local network to the desktop host selected by the user. Persistent Home Room credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain; guest room tokens are retained only for the active session. Gateway authentication is sent in request headers instead of URLs. Use Unisong only on a network and desktop you trust.

Children and changes

Unisong is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product changes and will publish the revised date on this page.
